Key Features of High-Volume Production Powder Coating

  • Automated Coating Lines
To ensure every part is coated evenly, we use automated machines. These systems apply a uniform finish across hundreds—or even thousands—of pieces. Because of this, you can expect consistent quality on all items.
  • Fast Turnaround
Since our process is streamlined, we can handle large orders fast without cutting corners. Therefore, you get your products on time, even with tight deadlines.
  • Long-Lasting Finishes
Our coatings are built to last. They resist chipping, rust, and fading, which is crucial for parts exposed to heavy use or harsh conditions.

One-Off Batch Powder Coating

If you need powder coating for a smaller or custom project, our one-off batch service is the perfect solution. This option works well for prototypes, artistic pieces, and custom equipment. Because we tailor each project to your needs, you can trust that the result will meet your exact requirements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you offer both high-volume and small custom powder coating orders?

Yes. Tri-State Metals runs automated coating lines for high-volume production, uniformly finishing hundreds or thousands of parts, and a manual batch oven for one-off and custom projects — so both large production runs and small custom orders are handled in-house.

What size parts can you powder coat?

Our expanded batch oven measures 11 ft x 10 ft x 24 ft, allowing us to coat oversized and specialized parts in addition to standard production-size components.

What powder coating colors and finishes are available?

We offer matte, glossy, metallic, and textured finishes, sourcing colors from Columbia Coatings, TCI Powder, and Prismatic Coatings. We can also accommodate custom colors from other vendors upon request.

How durable is a powder coated finish?

Powder coating produces a hard, abrasion-resistant finish that resists chipping, rust, and fading — making it more durable than standard wet paint for most industrial and automotive applications.

What's the difference between powder coating and wet paint spraying?

Powder coating applies a dry powder finish that's cured with heat, producing a hard, abrasion-resistant coating typically used on metal parts. Wet paint spraying applies a liquid paint finish and works across a broader range of materials, including wood, plastic, fiberglass, and composites. We can help determine which finish fits your material and project.

Do I need to prepare parts before powder coating?

Yes — proper surface preparation improves adhesion and finish durability. We also offer sandblasting and a 3-stage chemical wash system to prepare parts ahead of powder coating.

What industries do you provide powder coating for?

We provide powder coating for automotive parts, industrial equipment, consumer goods, and custom or prototype projects.
